Be Aware of Qualifications
In Omaha Hi-Lo there are two ways to win. You can win with a high hand and you can win with a low hand. The only problem is that before you can win with a low hand, you need to have qualifying cards. You must have two low cards in your hand and 3 low cards on the board. In order to qualify, the low cards must be 8 or lower. Anything higher than an 8 does not qualify. You could have A234 in your hand and if the board does not have 3 cards that are all 8 or lower, you do not qualify for a low hand. That is the reason why it is so important to be aware of the qualifications.
Many players think they have the nuts if they get dealt low hands. The fact is that without the 3 low cards on the board you really have nothing at all. Do not put your money in just relying on low cards to come out on the board. More times than not, the board will completely miss. Try to mix up your game a bit and play hands other starting hands than the standards such as A-2-K-K or A-2-3-A there is often much bigger rewards to be hand playing cards that can lead to a good straight such as 9-10-J-K these hands are often overlooked by many players and they can find it hard to fold their pocket aces or nut low draw against your already made hand.
Only Play Nut Flush Draws
